Tane's Tree Trust has been established to promote the planting of indigenous trees for a variety of purposes and to disseminate information related to the practice of forest tree establishment and management to farmers and other landowners in the most effective manner.  The vision of the Trust is "to see the majority of NZ landowners successfully planting and sustainably managing indigenous trees for productive, aesthetic and biodiveristy purposes, and to ensure the future availability of native timber."

This objective of this project was to collect and collate all that is currently known about planted indigenous forest establishment and management, and to disseminate it to interested landowners.
